With the sudden death of my partner and soul mate of 42 years, Patrick Hughes, in 2022, and my mother Joyce's death in 2023, I became a memory keeper.
I am publishing their photos, journals and stories in many ways and places, so their memories may live beyond me.
I have written a children's book to start conversations with young children about the unpredictable effects of memory loss on people they might know. It stars Joyce’s special creations and ways of thinking. I wrote it to help me say good-bye to my mum, Joyce, as she entered her final days and to ensure she was never forgotten.
Robert (my brother), Alan (my dad) and Joyce (my mother) are now with me in memories only. This website holds photos to share and spark my memories and those of the people that knew and loved them.
Several projects are completed, and others are underway to honour Patrick - my never-to-be-forgotten, much-loved partner, soul mate and best friend.
